On the operation panel of CNC lathe, common CNC switches are:
Control buttons for spindle, cooling, lubrication and tool change, etc. These buttons are often equipped with signal lights, generally green for start and red for stop; button-type lockable switch for program protection, which can be rotated only after the key is inserted; red emergency stop switch with protruding mushroom-shaped button cap for emergency stop; manual rotation operation conversion switch for coordinate axis selection, working mode selection, magnification selection, etc.; foot switch for controlling chuck clamping and loosening, tailstock top forward and backward in CNC machine tools, etc.

This is a sensor that detects the presence or absence of objects within a certain distance. It gives a high-level or low-level switch signal, and some have a large load capacity and can directly drive the circuit breaker to work. Proximity switches have the advantages of high sensitivity, fast frequency response, high repeat positioning accuracy, stable and reliable operation, and long service life. Many proximity switches have the detection side head, measurement conversion circuit and signal processing circuit in a housing. The housing is often threaded for installation and distance adjustment. At the same time, there is an indicator light on the outside to indicate the on/off state of the sensor. Commonly used proximity switches are inductive, capacitive, magnetic, photoelectric and Hall.
The travel switch is also called a limit switch. It converts mechanical displacement into electrical signals to control mechanical movement. According to the structure, it can be divided into direct-acting, sliding and micro-motion types.
